Community Relations & Outreach
The Tribe at CAPULANA BAY supports the implementation of various local community
outreach activities that help to provide a model of more culturally
and community sound property development in Panama.
This in turn helps to rehabilitate and conserve the local environment
and natural resources in the area surrounding The CAPULANA BAY Eco-Village,
and helps to maintain and enhance positive relations with the wider community.
Community outreach activities are developed by all of the members of
The CAPULANA BAY Eco-Village Tribe
who wish to be involved, and are supported through annual fees shared by
The CAPULANA BAY Eco-Village Tribe members.
Activities may include:
Local farmer training in Permaculture including
sustainable, organic farming techniques
Local community training and support for better household
and community waste management systems
Invitations to the neighbouring communities to participate
in workshops, outdoor film screenings and theatrical events
Tribe Members’ (fiscal and direct) participation in local
cultural community events
Other activities that the community and The CAPULANA BAY Tribe Members
are interested in developing.
